Recolonization in 2001 brought new life to the Delta-Delta chapter here at the University of Florida. The next big step was housing, and for the last few years we had a temporary 12-bedroom home on the west side of Fraternity Row. Currently we are in a small, temporary, 4-bedroom house on 2nd Avenue while waiting for our new house to be built. Since our recolonization, though, we have grown to 100+ brothers strong, setting new records, winning awards, and performing well in Greek philanthropy events. Such substantial growth calls for substantial housing. The Crescent House Campaign has been established to make this a reality for the Delta-Delta brotherhood.

The Crescent House Campaign Committee, along with the boards of the Delta Rho Chapter House Association and the Delta Rho Educational Foundation, has determined that building a House of 25,000 square feet, at an estimated cost of over $4,000,000, is essential. It is clearly time that Kappa Sigma, with its alumni taking the lead, address both the housing needs of the Chapter and the impact the House has on the success of recruiting quality members. The design of the new House will reflect the Delta Delta Chapter’s role as the finest fraternity on campus. It will become a sought-after privilege to live in the new House.
GROUNDBREAKING for our new house took place August 27th, 2006. Check it out here!
