The Brothers of Kappa Sigma will be hosting Rush events at the Kappa Sigma House from August 29th-September 3rd. We are located at 1120 SW 9th Road in our fairly new house behind Sorority Row. Parking is available.
The rush events are as follows:
Lunch is from 11-2
Dinner will be served from 5-7
Evening Events are from 8-11
Rush Week Events:
Sunday: Meet the Brother’s with Hungry Howie’s Pizza
Monday: Burk’s Lobster Grillout
Tuesday: Wing Night with Gator’s Dockside
Wednesday: “Pigs ‘n Sigs” BBQ Pig Roast with Live Music
Thursday: Firehouse Subs
Friday: Invitation Only

The brothers of the Delta-Delta Chapter of Kappa Sigma are extremely proud to have received the Founder’s Award for Chapter Excellence (F.A.C.E.). This is the highest honor that a chapter of Kappa Sigma can receive. The brothers of Delta-Delta have worked very hard to earn this award. Delta-Delta also received this honor in 2008, and are excited to have earned it again.

The Brothers of Kappa Sigma will be hosting a Summer Rush BBQ on Saturday, July 24th, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the Kappa Sigma house located at 1120 SW 9th Road, right behind Sorority Row. (See the Rush page of our website for a map and more information)
Come out, meet the brothers, enjoy some great food, and let us show you that our brotherhood is truly the strongest on campus. All are welcome.

Congratulations to brothers Jason Hancock and Geoff Landau, and alumni brothers Eric Smith and Vince Galluzo for being tapped into Florida Blue Key this past weekend. Florida Blue Key is the most prestigious leadership honor at UF and in the state of Florida. The brothers are very proud to have this many fellows tapped in so close together.

The brothers of Kappa Sigma participated in Dance Marathon this past weekend, April 10th and 11th. 15 brothers danced and many more were involved in staff and captain’s positions. Paired with the ladies of Delta Zeta, over $50,000 was raised for the Children’s Miracle Network, which benefits Shands Children’s Hospital. This was the highest amount raised by any group competing in Dance Marathon. Overall, Kappa Sigma came in a very close second for the Miracle Cup, which combines money raised with spirit points. The brothers are very proud of the accomplishment and continue to stay heavily involved in DM at UF.

On Wednesday, April 7th, the Brothers of Kappa Sigma at UF hosted the first annual Blacktop Beach philanthropy at the Kappa Sigma house. The event featured a sandcastle building contest, along with live music and a barbecue. The brothers put a lot of hard work into the event, working for weeks to fill the entire parking lot with sand. The event was a great success, with the ladies of Zeta Tau Alpha winning the sandcastle contest, and the ladies of Delta Zeta winning overall.

Congratulations to the following eleven gentleman on completing their pledge-ship and being initiated into the Delta Delta Chapter of Kappa Sigma:
Joey Ardis, Brian Black, Kevin Chiu, Scott Davidson, Christian D’Alessandro, John Ellis, Tyler Foss, Nick Osborn, Jesse Podor, James Thompson, and Peter Wilkins.
The initiation took place on the morning of Saturday, March 20th, and District Grand Master Paul Gamble was in attendance.

On Saturday, February 27th, the brothers of Kappa Sigma at UF participated in Kappa Alpha Theta’s dodgeball tournament on Norman Field. The brothers got very excited about the event, fielding 4 teams of ten players each. Despite rainy and cold weather, the event was a great success and involved the entire Greek Community at UF. Kappa Sigma’s most successful team made it to the semi-finals of the event, paired with the lovely ladies of Kappa Delta.

On Wednesday, February 24th, brothers of Kappa Sigma at UF participated in Kappa Kappa Gamma’s “Too Hot to Handle” wing eating contest at :08 bar and nightclub. Brother Chris Kale took second place in the competition, and many others were present. Thanks to all that participated.

On Sunday, February 7 the brothers of Kappa Sigma at UF participated in Chi Omega’s sand volleyball philanthropy “Sandblast”. Our chapter got very excited about the event and entered four separate teams, two of which made it to the quarter-final rounds. The day was an outstanding success for both the Delta-Delta chapter and for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
